Presence of very resistant chemical gypsum encrustations on flat bottom silos and consequent difficulty in extracting the chemical gypsum from the storage unit.
Installation of an AIRFLASH cannon system in the PPI Pick-Power-Impulser variant with 9 AIRFOM DN100 firing valves with in-line exhaust combined with EOLO linear fluidifiers lg.1000 TASCA series. AIRFOM valves are specific for applications in the presence of dust at room temperature. With the AIRFLASH PPI system solution it was possible to store a volume of air of approximately 600 NLt despite the space constraints imposed by the pre-existing structures. Thanks to PPI, the volume of 600 Nlt is made available at every single firing point (AIRFOM valve) connected to the tank pipe.
AIRFOM guarantees reduced dimensions, extreme ease of maintenance and economical management: the only component to be replaced for routine maintenance is the FOM (patented) floating membrane shutter, removable without decoupling the valve from use.
EOLO is a diffusion grid that allows the diffusion of the compressed air shock wave generated by AIRFOM along the entire surface of the storage structure. This eliminates the friction force between the stored material and the wall/bottom of the storage structure, making it easier to fluidize. EOLO also works as a protection for the AIRFLASH firing device, preventing material refluxes inside the valve.
Thanks to a cyclical programming of the cannon firing, a preventive action fluidisation against the formation of blocks and compaction of chemical gypsum has been implemented, considerably facilitating the extraction operations from the silo and eliminating both the risk of production stops due to lack of material and and the need for dangerous extraordinary maintenance interventions to manually unblock the blockage.
